MIL-STD

MIL-STD is the abbreviation for the US Military Standard. The MIL-STD tests of products for use under military conditions are carried out directly by the manufacturer. The MIL-STD standard defines tests for the compatibility of devices and equipment used in extreme conditions. The tests include resistance to air pressure, extreme temperature (differences), sun, moisture (including salt spray), explosive atmosphere, acceleration, vibrations and shocks.  In contrast to IP certification, the MIL-STD standards, including the latest standard MIL-STD-810G, are not binding standards. Products with MIL-STD are used, among others, by NATO, NGOs, aid organizations, and also increasingly in the industrial sector.
