AUGMENTED REALITY (AR)

Augmented Reality is the enhanced perception of reality through computer support. Currently, AR is used mostly on smartphones, tablets or head-mounted tablets (HMT). The respective device shows the user’s environment on the display via the camera. AR functions can be used to show the user schemes, graphics, comments or model numbers, for example. This functionality is particularly suitable for digital documentation and training videos, e.g. for on-site work by service and maintenance technicians. In contrast to virtual reality (VR), in which the user moves completely in a virtual world, augmented reality focuses on the presentation of useful additional information.
