i.safe MOBILE IS541.1 added to the 450connect whitelist

i.safe MOBILE has reached another milestone with the IS541.1. 450connect has added the smartphone to the whitelist for its nationwide 450 MHz radio network. 450connect operates the dedicated 450 MHz network for operators of critical infrastructure in Germany.

The 450 MHz network provides a highly available communications platform for the energy, water, transport, logistics and healthcare sectors. It remains operational for at least 72 hours, even in the event of a power cut. The network architecture also provides protection against cyber-attacks and sabotage. i.safe MOBILE developed the IS541.1 specifically to meet these requirements.

The IS541.1 builds on the tried-and-tested platform of the IS540.1 5G smartphone. The replaceable 4,400 mAh battery enables continuous shift operation, as spare batteries can be charged at any time outside the ATEX zone and inserted into the device. The 6-inch FHD display with Corning® Gorilla® Glass withstands harsh operating conditions. Users can connect accessories such as PTT headsets or remote speaker microphones via the 16-pin ISM interface connector. Programmable function keys provide quick access to the SOS function, PTT communication and lone worker protection.

With its inclusion on the whitelist, the number of voice terminals approved for the 450 MHz network continues to rise. i.safe MOBILE is thus expanding the range of certified handsets for KRITIS operators and strengthening the operational safety and resilience of critical infrastructure, even in hazardous areas.
