i.safe MOBILE celebrates its 10th company anniversary
The company from Lauda-Koenigshofen has developed from a start-up to an innovation driver in a very short time. Today, i.safe MOBILE is one of the world's leading specialists for explosion-proof and extremely robust mobile communication devices and solutions. In times of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, more than 1700 customers, including Fortune 500 companies, rely on i.safe MOBILE's future-oriented products and customer-specific software and service solutions, which are certified according to international standards such as ATEX, IECEx, NEC 500/505 and EAC. With currently almost 70 employees, sales partners in 72 countries and a global service network, the company has recorded an annually growing turnover since its foundation in 2011. The owner-managed corporation has set itself the goal of becoming the global market leader for communication solutions in the Ex-area. After having already established a branch in Singapore and Russia in the last 2 years, other ambitious goals for the next 10 years are to open up new markets. Expanding the international partner and solution partner network is also high on the company's agenda.

Milestones 2011 to 2021
On 14 September 2011, i.safe MOBILE was founded in Lauda-Koenigshofen, the company's headquarters. Already in December 2011, the company presented its first 2G pushbutton phones for hazardous areas. In spring of the following year, the company presented its products at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. From then on, the company is regularly represented at world trade fairs for the telecommunications, explosion protection, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical sectors. In the same year, i.safe MOBILE received the ISO 9000 quality management standard and was thus able to act competitively on the global market right from the start.
In autumn 2012, the first 3G mobile phone for the Ex-area was successfully introduced, and in 2014 the company remained on course for success and expansion by presenting the world's first Zone 1/21 smartphone. In the same year, i.safe MOBILE further expanded its customer service division and opened its European service centre in the Czech Republic. At the end of 2014, the company's first smartphone received the ATEX and IECEx certification, the important European and global standards for explosion protection.
In 2015, the first explosion-proof tablet was added to the product range. Just 5 years after its founding, the company had developed from a start-up to a global player and has since been supplying a worldwide customer base with the support of international sales partners.
In 2018, the company's first 4G smartphone is launched, followed by the prestigious German Design Award for product design in the field of computers and communication. Brazilian INMETRO certification opens up another important sales market for i.safe MOBILE, which can be perfectly served by the establishment of the South America Service Centre in November 2018.
In 2019, the company received the renowned Red Dot Award for product design. In the same year, i.safe MOBILE complemented its product range with a new smartphone and tablet product line for the M1 mining sector.
In 2020, the company further expanded its global presence together with regional partners and started with service centres in North America, Canada and Abu Dhabi. This was followed in the same year by the opening of a subsidiary in Singapore with a focus on the emerging market in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
In 2021, another sales and service representation in Moscow followed for the Russian Federation market.
