CHRISTMAS DONATION: I.SAFE MOBILE SUPPORTS WÜRZBURGS TRAVELERS AID

The Christmas donation of i.safe MOBILE GmbH has become a nice and important tradition of the Lauda-Königshöfer company and a special concern of the management.

Also this year, i.safe MOBILE GmbH is once again making a Christmas donation to a social project in the region and is supporting the Würzburg Travelers Aid with a donation of 5,000 euros. Those responsible at i.safe MOBILE became aware of the institution's plight through an appeal for donations in the social media, on the news site "Würzburg erleben". Thus, the decision to support this institution was made immediately.

In 2020, despite the COVID 19 pandemic and the lockdowns, the globally active, medium-sized company operating in the field of mobile communication devices for hazardous areas, was able to achieve growth again. The three managing directors Dirk Amann, Ludwig Fleckenstein and Martin Haaf would like to share this success with those who find themselves in difficult life situations and need help and support.

As part of the donation presentation, Michael Lindner-Jung, head of the Würzburg Travel Aid, introduced the work of the approximately 50 full-time, part-time and volunteer employees and reported on the challenges of their daily work. Here, too, the need caused by Corona is drastic. As an example, he mentioned the food distribution, which has increased from an average of 60 meals per day last year, to currently over 100 meals per day. In addition, people seek assistance from the station mission about 120 times a day, resulting in over 45,000 times a year their help is sought. With a service that is available day and night, the helpers provide support, for example, with material supplies, conversation and counseling offers, offer an emergency overnight shelter or refer people on to other social services. "With our visitors' room, we offer a place where people can simply feel at home and accepted. Without conditions and pressure to succeed. Everyone is welcome here, just as they are," explains Linder-Jung.

The managing directors Dirk Amann and Martin Haaf were impressed by the extensive and diverse range of services offered by the Travelers Aid and at the same time were concerned by the need that exists every day in all our surroundings, but is often not noticed due to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
